Common questions

How does SteadyShelf decide how much to order?

It looks at how fast each product sold over recent weeks, how many you have now, what's already on order, and how long your supplier usually takes to deliver. It suggests enough to cover the delivery time plus the number of days you choose in Settings, rounded to the supplier's case size.

Where do the suggestions come from on day one?

From your Shopify order history (up to the last 60 days). The more history your store has, the better the suggestions. New products start with no suggestion until they've sold for a few days.

Does it send emails to my suppliers for me?

No. SteadyShelf writes the order email and opens it in your own email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or your default mail app). You review it and press Send yourself, so suppliers always hear from you.

What happens when a delivery arrives?

Open the order in Orders and press Receive. Enter what actually came, and SteadyShelf adds it to your Shopify stock. If it notices your stock jump on its own, it will ask on the Home page whether that order arrived.

How do I count my stock?

Go to Stock and press Count stock. Pick what to count, type in what's on the shelf, then check and save. SteadyShelf updates Shopify to match and keeps a record of past counts.

I sell from more than one location. Does it work?

Yes, SteadyShelf uses your stock across locations to work out what to reorder. Receiving and stock counts update your first location in Shopify.

How much does it cost?

$20 a month with a 7-day free trial. Billing goes through Shopify and shows up on your Shopify bill. If you have a code from us, enter it on the plan page for a longer trial and a discount.

How do I cancel?

Go to Settings, then Plan and billing, and press Cancel plan. You can also just uninstall the app. You won't be charged again after cancelling.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Shopify tells us when you uninstall, and we delete your store's SteadyShelf data within 30 days. See our privacy policy.

Does SteadyShelf see my customers' information?

No. It only reads which products sold, how many and when. It never stores customer names, emails, addresses or phone numbers.

I have an idea or found a problem.

Use the Suggestions page inside the app, or email us. We read every message.
