SteadyShelfPrivacy Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
SteadyShelf is an inventory reorder app for Shopify stores. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it uses it, and what happens to it. It applies to store owners who install SteadyShelf ("you").
Information we collect
When you install SteadyShelf and approve its permissions, the app reads this information from your Shopify store:
- Store details: store name, owner email, currency and time zone.
- Products: product and variant names, photos, prices, SKUs, barcodes, costs, vendor and stock levels.
- Orders: the last 60 days of orders. SteadyShelf uses only which products sold, how many, and when.
- What you enter in the app: suppliers and their contact details, delivery times, supplier orders, stock counts, settings, and questions or ideas you send us.
SteadyShelf never sees or stores payment card details. Billing is handled by Shopify.
Your customers' information
SteadyShelf does not need your customers' personal information. When it reads orders, it asks Shopify only for product quantities and dates, and it does not store customer names, emails, addresses or phone numbers.
How we use information
- To work out sales per day, days of stock left and suggested order amounts.
- To show your stock, suppliers and orders inside the app.
- To prepare order emails, which you review and send from your own email account.
- To answer questions and ideas you send us.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below.
Where information is stored
The app runs on Render (render.com), a hosting company in the United States, and stores its data on Render's servers. Render processes data only to run SteadyShelf. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
How long we keep it
We keep your store's data while SteadyShelf is installed. When you uninstall, Shopify sends us a request to delete your store's data, and we delete it within 30 days. Emails you send to support stay in our inbox only as long as we need them to help you.
Your choices and requests
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing us. We also respond to Shopify's privacy requests: when a store's customer asks Shopify for their data or for it to be deleted, we confirm that SteadyShelf holds no personal information about that customer. If you live somewhere with privacy laws that give you extra rights, such as the EU, UK or California, contact us and we will help you use them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell you inside the app when the change is important.
